Travity Social Publisher connects one professional Instagram account using Instagram Login. Configure your own Meta Instagram app and use the callback URL shown in the settings.

Features include single images, image carousels, JPEG conversion and crop previews, optional WooCommerce product selection, public local campaign pages, short links, a calendar, reusable text templates, activity logs, CSV and image ZIP imports, cached post insights and confirmed bulk actions.

The administration interface and the detailed operating guide currently use German. The WordPress.org readme is provided in English. Full interface translations are a future improvement.

= Activity log storage =
Logs use an indexed table with the current WordPress database prefix. Existing log options migrate in batches of 100 via WP-Cron. Sources are deleted only after successful storage; replayed batches do not duplicate entries. Download and clear wait until migration finishes. Invalid sources remain intact and trigger an administrator notice.

Retention defaults to 90 days and can be changed from 1 to 3650 days under Settings. Shortening retention requires confirmation. Daily WP-Cron removes expired entries in batches of 1000. = Requirements and limitations =

WordPress 7.1+, PHP 8.5+, Sodium encryption, GD or Imagick, PHP ZIP for imports, a writable upload directory and a private temporary directory outside the document root. A single-site installation is supported; multisite is not yet supported. WooCommerce is optional. One connected account per installation. Image carousels currently support 2 to 10 images; video and Reels publishing are not included.

Scheduled publishing, token refresh and automatic insights updates require working WordPress cron. Use a suitable external cron task when the normal visit-driven cron mechanism is disabled. Publishing times are earliest start times, not an exact completion guarantee.

= External services and privacy =

The plugin uses the Instagram API operated by Meta. The administrator explicitly starts Instagram Login and grants the requested permissions before the plugin can publish or retrieve account/media data. A Meta app and a professional Instagram account are required. Meta app review and access permissions may be necessary for other accounts.

Service endpoints: www.instagram.com for authorization, api.instagram.com for the OAuth code exchange, and graph.instagram.com for token exchange/refresh, profile checks, content containers, publishing, permalinks and media insights. Your app ID, callback URL, OAuth state and requested scopes are sent during authorization. App credentials and authorization codes are exchanged server-side. Access tokens remain server-side. Publishing sends selected media URLs and captions to Meta; Meta fetches the publicly accessible images. Insights requests send the relevant account/media IDs and token.

Credentials and tokens are encrypted with WordPress-derived keys. Local post/connection information, logs and insight observations are stored in WordPress. Imported media are ordinary publicly accessible WordPress uploads after import. Temporary ZIP sources and previews remain private. No plugin telemetry or separate analytics service is included.

Local deletion does not delete the published Instagram post. Use the Instagram permalink to remove or archive a post manually.
